mi-graphicOn Tuesday, September 15, the NH Coalition to End Homelessness will host the “How to Pass Every Property Inspection” training.  Participants will learn how to meet the Uniform Physical Condition Standards (UPCS) and how to pass the Real Estate Assessment Center’s (REAC) inspection process.  Topics include: an in-depth coverage of the UPCS Inspection Code, REAC scoring and inspection process and best preparation methods for all property inspections.  This training will provide you and your organization the tools needed for passing all property inspections with ease!

Participants in this training will:

  • Best methods for preparing your property;
  • Items required under UPCS;
  • Ownership Concepts under UPCS Inspection Code;
  • How to understand the difference between items that have a high scoring priority and those that do not;
  • What REAC violations are and are not- how to repair them, and what REAC inspectors are really looking for; and,
  • How to ensure success on every inspection and know when you “got lucky” and when you were truly ready.

Trainer Bios

Scott Precourt

Scott Precourt is the President of U.S. Housing Consultants and has worked in affordable housing since 1996; first as a manager of Public Housing, Tax Credit, and a variety of multifamily HUD programs, and later as a Director, monitoring a portfolio of 600+ units of multi-funded housing and a large staff. Scott left management in 2003 and joined a software firm (Bostonpost) as a staff consultant and trainer, and started U.S. Housing Consultants in 2005.

Scott was certified as a UPCS Inspector in 1999, and has performed over 5,000 UPCS Inspections throughout the country since the initial certification. He also holds certifications as a Tax Credit Specialist, Certified Occupancy Specialist, Public Housing Manager, Rural Housing Manager, and has performed 10,000+ file audits, 400+ Physical Needs Assessments, and has trained over 10,000 people on UPCS Inspections and other topics.

U.S. Housing Consultants

U.S. Housing Consultants, LLC is a New Hampshire Corporation formed in 2005, and currently has 15 employees and offices in Chichester, New Hampshire; Chicago, Illinois, Virginia Beach, and Virginia. They perform services for private management companies, investment agencies (syndicators and banks), and owners of affordable housing. They work closely with many HUD Field Offices, Tax Credit HFA’s, Syndicators, Banks, and Investment groups. Their services are divided into (a) Compliance Services and (b) Inspection Services.
