NH Symposium on Homeless Planning, Collaboration and Communication
This statewide symposium, in Concord, NH, will explore ways in which we can enhance the impact of our work through greater collaboration, communication and coordination among the various planning bodies working to end homelessness in New Hampshire. During this inaugural event, timely statewide initiatives will be discussed and regional leaders will have an opportunity to share resources and identify ways in which we can utilize our collective voice to enhance understanding and support for homeless services in NH.
Granite Leaders is a unique leadership training program specifically designed for people who have experienced homelessness. Through a free, six-month program, participants learn to effectively engage and advocate in the effort to end homelessness and interact with widely recognized leaders on local, state and national levels. Upon completion of the program, graduates become part of a network of skilled leaders focused on improving the quality of life in communities across New Hampshire.
The State of Homelessness in New Hampshire Report
We release an annual report that provides economic and demographic information about homelessness in NH at state and county levels. Changes and trends in this data are highly relevant to policy discussion and evidence based solutions.
We design infographics based on county level data from the State of Homelessness in New Hampshire Report. We clearly illustrate important trends, issues and progress pertaining to homelessness in the county and post them on our social media outlets, our website and our E-Newsletter.
We provide professional development trainings to community partners and providers who are working with vulnerable populations. Trainings are tailored to professionals in a variety of fields including social work, supportive housing, early childhood education, substance misuse services, etc.
Some examples of previous trainings include: De-Escalation Techniques, Stress Management, Trauma Informed Services, Culturally Competent Services, Suicide Prevention, and Evidence Based Case Management.
