Dodgeball Dodging Homelessness High School Tournament 2013

Dodging Homelessness High School Tournament ’13 competition to be held between six NH high schools to support efforts to end homelessness.

MANCHESTER, NH – The New Hampshire Coalition to End Homelessness is hosting its inaugural dodgeball event, “Dodging Homelessness High School Tournament ‘13”, on Saturday, June 1 at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH.  The competition brings New Hampshire students together for a friendly game of dodgeball.  Each school’s National Honor Society is organizing their own tournament to determine the best team to represent them in the statewide tournament.  The statewide tournament will help raise funds to support educational scholarships for homeless or formerly homeless New Hampshire students.

“To have schools across New Hampshire come together to support this cause is truly remarkable,” said Cathy Kuhn, Ph.D., Director of the New Hampshire Coalition to End Homelessness.  “The event, which is fun for students and parents alike, will provide the Coalition with the ability to continue leading the state in efforts to end homelessness.”

The following schools will be participating in the Saturday, June 1 dodgeball tournament: Bishop Brady High School, Hopkinton High School, Manchester West High School, Merrimack High School, Timberlane Regional High School, and Trinity High School.

During each school’s tournament, students will be raising funds to support scholarships for homeless or formerly homeless New Hampshire students who are looking to pursue higher education, as well as other activities of the Coalition.

The tournament, which is set for Saturday, June 1 at 4PM, is open to the public.  Admission is $5.00, and can be purchased by visiting www.nhceh.org/dodgeball, by calling 603-641-9441, or by emailing [email protected].
